Welcome to <BATH
LINK> a newsletter for and about
anyone who graduated or
attended
information about
classmates, reunions, school events, teachers, plus web
site links, a pop quiz,
some humor and other items of alumni interest. The
newsletter, due to
having 45 graduating classes (and all are important), is
somewhat long. It is
suggested that if you don't have time to read it all
right now, save it in a
special folder named, "BATH LINK," and then read it
when you do have the
time.
(Ed. Not: A couple of
explanations for you out-of-towners: The ISP used for
the email address of bathllink@wcoil.com, WCOIL stands for West
Central
as Elida, OH, when
actually it really is in
Post Office delivery
area. Also, thanks to all of you who took the time to
reply to the inquiry of
"Are you related to..." The newsletter subscriber list
has grown to over 1200.
So, please keep me posted on any email address
changes.)

The Wildkitten's incredible 46-game winning
streak was broken in
maybe it was the cold
weather, maybe it was fate, but it wasn't lack of
defense or heart that
won one more game to
become state champions.
A true team effort through out the season, with
star pitcher Grace
Luginbuhl getting 26
wins and coach Laura Ford getting career victory No.
400 in her 19th year at
would require to list
the entire rooster.
So, the four graduating seniors are 2B-Sarah
Alger, 3B-Leslie
Grace Luginbuhl and
C-Tessa Mosley; the four juniors are OF-Amanda
Barnes, 1B-Korrie
Collins, DH-Janika Horrison and CF-Andrea Plaugher;
the five sophomores are
OF-Caitlin Bradley, OF-Jenny Sawyer, RF-
Stephanie Sielschott,
LF-Mary Simindinger and 1B-Brittany Taylor; the three
freshmen are OF-Jenna
Andrews, LF-Amanda Cogley, SS-Amanda
Houchin. Great season,
great team!

I saw Francis was at the '59
Class reunion in 1996 at
the Lost Creek Country Club. Unfortunately that
night, he quietly
slipped away from the gathering when classmates were
given an opportunity to
stand up and talk about themselves. Obviously, he
wasn't much for public
speaking and as the MC that night, I never would
have asked him to speak
if he'd rather not. I admired Francis for going back
to school and graduating
from high school, something that must have been
difficult for him, since
he was five years older than his classmates. After
working at Ford and
retiring to
home, again something to
his credit.)
