In the near future, residents of
the Bath Local School District will be receiving a copy of the
2008-2009 School
Year Report Card from the Ohio Department of Education. Bath
Middle School moved from an "Effective" rating in 2007-2008
to an "Excellent" rating for the 2008-2009
school year!
The Department of Education uses a combination
of four different measures (State Indicators, Performance Index,
Adequate
Yearly Progress, and Value Added) to determine a school's designation.
Bath Middle School met the Adequate Yearly Progress measure
for the second consecutive year and also showed above expected
growth for the second consecutive year in the Value Added Measure,
which enabled Bath Middle School to achieve the Excellent designation
from the state.
The movement from "Effective" to "Excellent" is
an outstanding accomplishment for the students, staff, and parents
of Bath Middle School.
Congratulations to all!
Residents who have any questions pertaining to
the Local Report Card are invited to contact the Middle School
Office.
