Student Access to BHS Account
for VISTA

Seting up your Windows Vista to log in to your school account.
GO TO> Start> Computer
You should be at a screen that looks like my computer screen.
In the white space Right Click
Choose: Options
Then go to one of the following:
My network places, Network places, or Network
Now follow the same steps as setting it up on Windows XP (PDF)

These steps are for Microsoft XP Operating System.  If you use a “Mac” or Microsoft “Vista” please refer to your system’s information to create your network place.  Bath Local School does not provide “Tech Support” for yhome computerThis is a convenience provided to Bath students.  Bath Local School uses Microsoft “Wordas their word processing software.  If your word processing software is different please convert your file by using:  File – Save As and change the ‘File Type’ to “Word” document or a “generic text file” so that it may be used at school.  A ‘High Speed’ internet helps in making this connection (not required).

1. Find the icon “My Network Places” (might need to use the green ‘Start’ button) and open (left click).

2. Open “Add Network Place”.

3. Click “Next

4. Click on “Choose another Network Location” and click “Next

  1.  In the white space type the below address (no spaces, use :80 after the .org) Click “Next”

at the end is your username at school       _ _ _ _ _ _ _   =    12ackeb

6. Put in school username and password.  ba\ must be in front of username and no spaces. Click “ OK”

7. Give your new network space a name that you can identify later.

8. Click Finish

9. To open your school network you need to use “My Network Space” and then open your connection.

10.   Once your connection is open you may Create/Save/Open files as you would on your school cpu ☺
