Scholarship

The Bath Music Association awards at least two scholarships each year to graduating seniors who intend to pursue music performance in college.  At least one instrumental student and at least one vocal student are selected from the applications received.  These students do not need to major in music but they do need to take a performance music course in College.



Criteria to apply for BMA Scholarship:
1. The applicant must be a graduating senior and a member in good standing the in the Bath High School Choir or Band program.
2. The applicant must have a recommendation from their current High School music director. This must be included with the application.
3. The scholarship will be paid directly to the student upon receipt of verification (via transcript) by the High School Music Director that the students is enrolled in, and is in good standing of, a musical performance group at a College or University. This verification must be provided as soon as possible during the next school year and no later than February 1st. Failure to provide this verification by February 1st will cause the scholarship to be withdrawn.
4. There may be at least one scholarship for an instrumentalist and one scholarship for a vocalist.
5. Any incomplete or late applications or those missing reference materials or Principal's signature will not be considered.

The scholarship(s) will be announced at the annual BMA Awards Banquet and the annual Senior Awards Breakfast.
