Quiz Bowl tryouts are held in the Fall.
Bath 5th Grade Quiz Bowl Team Excels in Tournament!
Two nights of the quiz bowl tournament were coming to an end. The Bath team knew how they performed but did not know how the other teams were fairing. Team members were biting their nails as they waited to hear the results. Nervous chatter filled the Shawnee Middle School cafeteria. There were three beautiful trophies and large ribbons displayed on a table. Would the team bring home one? Finally, all the competing teams gathered. The judges had the results in their hands.
Team members, Niah, Conner, Morgan, and Lacey jumped out of their seats as the words "Bath is the second runner-up this year!" The team was brought to the front table to receive a large ribbon and to carry back the impressive trophy.
The next day, the trophy was passed throughout the fifth-grade classrooms. Then, the trophy was placed in the trophy case in the Bath Elementary entrance. The next time you are in the elementary building, make a point to find the large trophy in the case. Congratulations to the team! They represented themselves and Bath Elementary well. We are Bath Proud!
The team is coached by Mrs. Wiedenbein. Come watch us compete in mid January through mid February at Shawnee Middle School at 4:00pm!
All Practices are from 2:30 - 3:30
If school is cancelled, practice is cancelled.
If school is delayed, we still have practice.
