WELCOME TO BATH CHOIRS
Disney Trip June 2022 The vocal music program is made up of grades 5-12.
ELEMENTARY
5th grade is an "exploratory" choir. Every 5th grader gets one semester of choir in which they get an idea of what it would be like if they joined choir in 6th grade. The 5th graders perform once during the year at Bath Elementary's Spring Arts Festival.
MIDDLE SCHOOL
Middle School choir is made up of 3 choirs; 6th grade choir, 7th grade choir, and 8th grade choir. Students work to strengthen their vocal technique, musicianship, and personal skills through daily good choral singing.
-6th grade performs three concerts a year; one in December, one in March, and one in May. Then they have an optional opportunity to sing at the high school's Dinner Theater in May.
-7th & 8th grade choirs have 5 concerts/performances throughout the year; one in October, one in December, one in March, and two in May. May's performances consist of a Middle School choir concert and one night at the choir's annual Dinner Theater.
HIGH SCHOOL
There are multiple groups students can participate in at the high school level: Concert Choir, Chamber Chorale, and Show Choir
- Show Choir is a "zero period" class that rehearses two days a week before school. They perform multiple times throughout the year at concerts and throughout the community. They perform at the Elementary's Spring Arts Festival, Elementary and Middle School assemblies, a Toledo Walleye Hockey game, just to name a few.
- Concert Choir has multiple performances throughout the year (once per quarter): October, December, February, and Dinner Theater performances in May. Concert Choir is our non-auditioned choir made up of 9th - 12th grade students.
- Chamber Chorale is the top, auditioned choir in the high school made up of 9th - 12th grade students. This group performs multiple times throughout the year at Bath and in the community; choir concerts in October, December, February, OMEA Large Group Adjudicated Events in March, routinely receiving Superior Ratings from adjudicators. This group also takes a large role in the Dinner Theater performances in May.
